Hello and Welcome to Our Website!

The Jerry O'Hagan Orchestra is celebrating it's 27th year as a working big dance band in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area , and we play for public dances every month! During those 27 years the band has played for more than 1,450 dances, events, and parties .

The band is led by Mike Haynes and Charmin Michelle, who have been long time band members when Jerry O'Hagan led the band. Mike Haynes plays lead trombone. Charmin Michelle, who sings in the style of Billie Holliday, is the band's featured female vocalist..

If You're Planning a Wedding or a Private Party

If you're planning a wedding or a private party and you would like to view a DVD of the band playing live, please email Charmin at cm@charmsongs.com and she will send you a DVD of the band. We also have play lists of the band repertoire available if you would like to see one.

Jerry O'Hagan is retiring

But the band will play on !!!
As many of you know, I have had a series of health problems in the last two years, and I am moving at a lot slower pace . I have been playing my horn on the professional stage for 58 years, and have decided to retire and turn the playing over to the younger musicians. My last public appearance as the leader of the orchestra will be on New Year's Eve, December 31 , 2015 at the Shakopee Ballroom.
In January 2016 the orchestra will continue on as the "Jerry O'Hagan Orchestra" and will be led by two of my present orchestra members; Mike Haynes, who has played lead trombone in my band for 13 years; and Charmin Michelle, who has been the band's featured singer since 1993. They will continue to play at the Cinema Ballroom and other locations.
